Overview
The Collision of Colors is a 5-minute-42-second stereo fixed-media work. It treats red, yellow, and blue as three primary forces that intertwine, collide, and generate new colors. Electronic music techniques become a way to test how sound can carry the perception and movement of color.
Processing
Original samples are stretched, reversed, and processed through grain delay, flange, and other digital techniques. The work is a study in controlled collision: color is never illustrated, but translated into the behavior of sound.
